Bhavan’s B.P. Vidya Mandir, Koradi, celebrated Krida Diwas on the birth anniversary of Hockey Legend Major Dhyan Chand with great enthusiasm. The Chief Guest, internationally acclaimed Divyang Cricketer and former Captain of Indian Cricket Team (2011-2021) Shri Gurudas R. Raut, along with EPTA Parent Members Mrs. Megha Milmile and Mrs. Preeti Nakade, graced the occasion. In his inspiring address, Shri Raut urged and emphasized that sports should be regarded as a form of devotion. Motivating the children, he urged them to transform their weaknesses into strengths. While sharing the secret of his success, he underlined the importance of struggle, self-confidence, discipline, parental love and respect, as well as the training imparted by teachers. The school felicitated its young achievers for excelling in sports at the National and State-level. A quiz competition on sports was organized, and the winners were awarded medals and certificates for their achievements. The school organized inter-class Table Tennis, Kho-Kho, and Basketball matches for Classes VI to X to foster healthy competition, while recreational games were held for Classes I and II to observe the day. The guest was welcomed by Ms. Khushboo Yadav, while the programme was compered efficiently by the students, Master Anvay Goyal and Miss Palak Nanwani of Class VII. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms. Chahat Chawla of Class VIII. The event was ably managed, under the valuable guidance of the Principal, Ms. Sarbani Bose, by the in-charge teachers, Shri Jitendra Mudliar and Ms. Shikha Kalakoti, along with the students, ensuring its smooth and successful conduct.
On the radiant morning of 15th August 2025, the campus of Bhavan’s B P Vidya Mandir, Koradi, Nagpur became a vibrant canvas of patriotism, celebrating the 79th Independence Day of India. The air was crisp with anticipation, and every corner of the school seemed to hum with the spirit of freedom. Flags fluttered gently in the monsoon breeze, floral rangolis bloomed in the colours of the nation, and sot strains of patriotic melodies stirred the hearts of all who gathered.
Bhavan’s B. P. Vidya Mandir, Koradi, Nagpur, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great pride, enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Vinay Nangia Sir, Executive Committee Member, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, as the Chief Guest, and Smt. Anju Bhutani Madam, Manager and Academic Coordinator, Bhavan’s Nagpur Kendra, as the Guest of Honour. The dignitaries were warmly welcomed by Principal Ms. Sarbani Bose, parent representatives, staff, parents and students.
The ceremony commenced with the flag hoisting, a moment of immense pride, as the National Tricolour soared high, followed by the soulful rendition of the National Anthem, echoing the unity and integrity of our nation. The welcome address highlighted the historical significance of Independence Day, paying homage to the sacrifices of countless freedom fighters.
The programme began with a solemn welcome address by Smt. Grishma Sahare Madam, ater which the cultural events unfolded under the spirited anchoring of Somanshu Samanta and Siddhi Tiwari of Class X.
The students of the Hindi group song team set the tone of patriotism through a stirring Patriotic Mashup titled “Aazadi ke Sur”, comprising soul-touching renditions of legendary songs such as “Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon,” “Kar Chale Hum Fida,”“Har Karam Apna Karenge,” and many more.
This was followed by a hearƞelt Bal Mandir dance performance “Veer Pratishtha”, which beautifully depicted the serenity of Kashmir, the sacrifice of our soldiers, and the spirit of Mission Sindoor.
The next highlight was the Prize Distribution Ceremony, wherein students with 100% attendance and other academic achievers were felicitated by the Chief Guest and Principal amidst applause from their proud parents.
The Chief Guest, in a deeply moving address, spoke to the students He began by paying his respects to Honourable Shri Banwarilal Purohit, Shri Rajendra Purohit, Principal Ms. Sarbani Bose, Mrs. Anju Bhutani Madam, teachers, students, and the parents. He said that he was talking about becoming truly great to everyone. He explained that one thing that Bhavan’s has truly inculcated is the willingness to do what is right even when it’s difficult, unpopular, or costly. He encouraged the students to safeguard one another and support one another. He told the students to always speak the truth, even when silence would be easier. He emphasized that we must make informed choices even when no one is watching. Admiƫng mistakes and taking responsibility is also one of the most important things. Empathetic Wisdom He said that empathy is a word very close to his heart and mind, and we should also remember the word empathy. We should be listening more than speaking, because that is the only way to learn. There is so much wisdom around you— your peers, colleagues, seniors, teachers, and parents. Everyone has something to give, which is why you should always give them the chance to talk and share their knowledge and experience.
The audience was then inspired by the enlightening speech of the Chief Guest, Dr. Vinay Nangia Sir, who motivated the students to uphold the values of discipline, hard work and patriotism in everyday life. A significant moment of the day was the release of the school newsletter “Reflections” (Volume 1) by the dignitaries, showcasing scholastic and co scholastic achievements of the session 2024–25.
The function also witnessed the felicitation of Smt. Bharati Sontakke Madam, who was awarded Best Teacher in the Maharashtra & Goa Zone by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF). The school also proudly celebrated the achievements of Mast. Saanidhya Borkar (Class X), who was selected for ISRO’s prestigious YUVIKA 2025 – Young Scientist Program, and also honoured with the SOF Academic Excellence Scholarship. Adding to the pride, Miss Teeya Yadav (VII A) was conferred the Reader of the Year Award for her love for books and exemplary participation in library activities.
The cultural programme then continued with a Hindi patriotic speech by Ishaanvi Vath (X B) on the sacrifices of soldiers and the duties of responsible citizens, which deeply moved the gathering. This was followed by a soul-stirring Marathi group song “Shaurya Gatha” presented by students of Classes IV and V, in honour of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The atmosphere was further enriched with the Dramatic Dance “Shaurya Smriti”, a unique fusion performance. Poonam Tiwari Madam, after which the gathering stood in unison to sing the Maharashtra Geet, paying tribute to the rich culture and valour of the state. The programme ended with the distribution of sweets for students and high tea for parents and dignitaries, leaving behind cherished memories of a day dedicated to the spirit of freedom, sacrifice and national pride.
With the aim of SERVICE ABOVE SELF, the prestigious institution of Bhavan’s B.P. Vidya Mandir, Koradi held the installation of Interact Club members on 04th August,2025 in the school premises. Bhavanites welcomed and thanked the dignitaries for their precious time. The presence of the esteemed guests was acknowledged and they were welcomed by Miss Kritika Shriwas. Traditional lamp-lighting ceremony was done by the dignitaries as a mark of honour to Mother Saraswati.

In his address Sir Rtn. Gogi Singh Bhasin guided the students to set a goal for achieving success and asked to focus on hard work which goes hand in hand. He further explained that every child has hidden talents and motivated them to unleash them. He encouraged students to contribute to the society, do their bit to serve community. He motivated the young interactors to work for the betterment of society with the virtue of leadership, forbearance and benevolence and wished them good luck for the future endeavours.
Admirable Principal Ms. Sarbani Bose Ma’am addressed the gathering and encouraged the students to actively participate in school activities and contribute to the community and serve others because SERVICE TO MAN IS SERVICE TO GOD.

Delivering the keynote address, Shri Vijay Phanshikar, Executive Committee Member, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra, captivated the gathering with his deeply insightful words. Drawing from history, science, and the arts, he painted a vivid picture of excellence achieved through perseverance.
Citing the celebrated scientist Openheimer, he spoke of the power of relentless experimentation and learning from failure as the true pathway to discovery. Invoking the vision of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, India’s “Missile Man,” he reminded students that discipline, integrity, and dreaming big are the cornerstones of building a nation. From the world of music, he brought forth the journey of Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar, whose dedication and timeless artistry transformed Indian music into a global treasure.
“These icons,” he said, “remind us that success is never a mere accident; it is the outcome of focus, practice, and an unwavering spirit. The human brain begins where computers and artificial intelligence end; just as art transcends technology.” He urged students to rise above digital distractions, create disciplined routines, and embrace the inner strength that fuels true greatness.
These inspiring words resonated strongly with the young achievers, who listened intently as the Chief Guest urged them to cultivate lives of purpose and responsibility, at thefelicitation programme, “Kirtisanvardhanam”, held at Bhavan’s Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir, Koradi recently, honouring meritorious students who excelled in the AISSE Board Examinations 2024–25, alongside Class IX students who were recognized for their academic distinction.
The ceremony commenced with the dignified lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a Sarvadharma Prayer, setting the tone for the day. Adding to the spirit of the occasion, the school toppers themselves stepped forward, offering candid advice to their juniors. Speaking on themes of time management, consistency, and determination, they encouraged peers to dream big and pursue their goals with confidence.
The event was further distinguished by the presence of Smt. Sheetal Thakare, Vice Chairperson, and Smt. Surabhi Priyadarshani, Joint Secretary of the Executive Parent-Teacher Association (2025–26). Parents of the achievers, glowing with pride, lent warmth and joy to the celebration.

As part of the ongoing CCA (Co-Curricular Activities), a lively and spirited Patriotic Aerobic Presentation was held for Classes I and II on 23 rd July,2025.
The young Bhavanites performed synchronized aerobic moves to the beats of patriotic songs, showcasing not only their physical agility but also their love for the nation. Clad in colourful outfits, the students radiated energy, enthusiasm, and national pride.
This unique blend of fitness and patriotism aimed to instill healthy habits while nurturing a deep-rooted respect for our country. The performance was met with loud applause and appreciation from teachers and peers alike. Bhavan’s B.P. Vidya Mandir, Koradi Road, Nagpur, conducted its prestigious Investiture Ceremony recently for formal appointment of the Student Council for the academic session 2025–2026. The event was marked by great enthusiasm, pride, and a strong sense of responsibility as the newly elected council members were conferred with their roles in the presence of school authorities, staff, and fellow students. The Investiture Ceremony began with a solemn oath-taking, where the newly elected student leaders pledged to serve with integrity and dedication. Miss Lavanya Joshi (XA) and Mast. Harshwardhan Singh (XC) was proudly announced as the School Captains. Other key roles such as School Vice-Captains, Discipline In-charges, Assembly In-charges, Cultural Coordinators, Cleanliness In-charges, and First Aid In-charges were also entrusted to deserving students from Classes IX and X.
Additionally, House Captains and Vice-Captains were appointed to lead the four houses, further strengthening the student leadership structure. Principal Ms. Sarbani Bose addressed the gathering, congratulating the elected members and inspiring them to carry forward the school’s values with leadership, discipline, and teamwork. As a part of the CCA (Co-Curricular Activities) initiative, a Mock Parliament was organized for students of Classes IX and X on 19th July,2025.The event aimed to give students a hands-on experience of parliamentary proceedings and develop their understanding of democratic values and governance.
The session began with the introduction of a bill-“Should India promote English language or we focus more on Mothertongue”, followed by thought-provoking debates, interjections, and voting—closely simulating a real parliamentary setting.
The activity fostered confidence, public speaking skills, critical thinking, and team spirit among students. It was a proud moment to witness young minds articulating their views with clarity and conviction.
Such events not only enrich classroom learning but also prepare students to be responsible and aware citizens of tomorrow.
Bhavan’s B. P. Vidya Mandir, Koradi, celebrated Guru Purnima 2025–26 with a grand cultural event titled “Gurorpanam”, a reverent tribute to the sacred bond of Guru-Shishya Parampara which has always been the tradition and culture of Bhavan’s school.”The program commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony in the presence of chief guest Dr. Sunanda Sonarikar, along with tabla maestro Shri Sandesh Popatkar, music guru Dr. Sangeeta Nayak, and Kathak dance guru Smt. Vrushali Sathe.
The celebration featured spectacular music and dance performances, some presented solely by students and others in collaboration with their gurus. Cultural Performances Included “Taal-Tritaal”,”Taal-Chakra”,”Yaman Rang”,”Shiv Stuti”,”Tarana”,”Chaturang”,”Devi Raag Mala – Bhairavi Raag” (vocal performance by all music gurus).The performances were enhanced by the guidance of music and dance teachers: Shri Pankaj Ware, Shri Shubham Pohane, Shri Ashish Khade, Smt. Amruta Pendke, Smt. Jayshree Ghaiwat, and Ms. Ketaki Tamhankar. The event concluded by the students taking blessings of the dignitaries and their Gurus.
Anchoring was done by Chirag Keswani in Sanskrti and Shannon Kripalani in Hindi.The event was coordinated by Smt. Jyoti Singh and Smt. Vidya Sambare, and concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Smt. Karvi Satpute, under the leadership of Principal Ms. Sarbani Bose.
Bhavan’s B. P. Vidya Mandir, Koradi organised a programme named “Literary Voices: A Celebration of Expression”, under which the First ever INTER- SCHOOL DECLAMATION COMPETITON for students was organised.
The objective of this competition was to provide a platform for high schools students. Bringing together some of the brightest orators from 27 schools in the region.
On 29th Nov, 2024 a parent-child activity was planned as the 4th CCA i.e "Mythological Enactment" the unique event aimed to instill values and life lessons in children. The enchanting retelling of timeless mythological stories by enactment not only apprised children with the rich Indian culture but strengthened the parental bonding with the child. The day was filled with exuberance as parent-child duo took the stage with jaw drop performances bringing to life iconic characters and scenes of Indian Mythology were presented the list is long, to name a few like Rakt Beej being vanquished by the Goddess Kali, Lord Narasimha’s triumph over Hiranyakashyap, Lord Krishna’s lifting Govardhan Parvat to save people of Vrindavan from Lord Indra’s wrathful storm , Guru Shishya relations like Sage Vyas - Lord Ganesh transcribe Mahabharata with his tusk, Relation of Gautami and Gautam Buddha , Ram - Shabri’s relationship which transcended caste, creed, societal barriers. Each of the performances showcased creativity, teamwork and cultural pride. The vibrant colourful costumes, props and narration captivated all of us making the stories entertaining and educational.
Best out of waste -Fancy dress competition was organised for the children of class Nursery. Children came decked up in beautiful and unique costumes made up of waste material such as newspaper, coconut husks, polythene bags, plastic bottle, saline bottle, jute, leaf, cardboard, paper plates and cups etc. The theme ‘Best out of waste’ was perfect way to combine the joy of crafting with recycling, reducing and reusing to save the environment as children spoke on ‘say no to plastic ’, reuse of plastic bags, paper cups, jute, cloth bags etc. for fancy dress. The motive behind this activity was to improve the speaking skills , vocabulary and stage fear.
It was a great success as children enthusiastically participated with great vigour.
In a vibrant showcase of creativity and talent, Bhavan’s B.P Vidya Mandir, Koradi, Nagpur recently hosted Nature Collage Activity, leaving everyone amazed by the exceptional artistic skills on display.
The competition, held on 7th August, 2024 served as a platform for students from various grade levels to express themselves artistically and celebrate their imaginative abilities. It was a great activity to give purpose to a walk in nature.
Recently, a Craft Mela (Parent-Child Activity) was organized at Bhavan’s B.P. Vidya Mandir, Koradi as a part of the co-curricular activity to create a vibrant and interactive platform for the young crafters of KGI to unleash their creativity by stepping into the enchanting world of Origami. The premises was transformed into a kaleidoscope of colours as the journey began with the playful paper folds, each crease and curl brought forth a blossoming masterpiece. Craft Mela, was planned not just to give wings to children’s creativity, but also to enhance young learner’s physical and mental dexterity, imaginations and also to strengthen parent- child bond. Parents actively partook along with their wards and witnessed the craft experience creating art and craft with origami. The collaborative activity besides fostering bonding between parent and children furthermore added joy to the day as it strengthened the thriving association of parents with the school. Witnessing the enthusiastic parents and young learners embracing the activity with such exuberance and focus was a testament to the creativity and enthusiasm of the children who participated in this event. The grin on the children’s face as they proudly display their origami art –craft work along with their parents was the highlight of the day. The Craft Mela was a huge success due to the exuberant participation of the children, the unwavering support of the parents and the prudent planning by the pedagogues under the able guidance of the Principal Ms.Sarbani Bose and Pre-Primary I/C Ms. Neha Khatri for the smooth culmination of the event.

OBJECTIVE: World Conservation Day is observed on 28/07/2024 every year. To raise awareness among Public and to educate them about the importance of conserving nature and adopting sustainable practices, a street play was organised by the students of STD VI and VII in Bal Mandir premises on the PTM day ie – 27/07/2024 which focused on the theme “ Reduce , Reuse and Recycle ” . Through the play children tried to promote environment- friendly activities in daily life to lead a green lifestyle.
OBJECTIVE: Creative use of discarded materials is now need of the hour so that we can create something of higher value than the original item. Keeping the same view students of STD VI to VII prepared creative pen stand to Promote creativity and enhance environmental awareness using waste plastic bottles and ice cream sticks. It turned out to be a great way to combine recycling with creativity. The activity encouraged participants to creatively repurpose plastic bottles and ice cream sticks into a functional pen stand which was given to the parents as a takeaway gift as a token of gratitude on 27/07/2024 on the day of PTM. Parents enthusiastically took interest and participated in the Signature campaign wherein they expressed their thoughts about this unique activity mentioning the large scale impact of reusing materials and turning into personalized items.
