Padmini Jog honourable chief guest elucidated various genre of efforts and struggles. The esteemed chief guest sang a beautiful aarti (devotional song) which expresses deep reverence and respect for Bharat Mata (Mother India). It is sung in praise of the beauty, greatness, and diversity of India. The aarti describes the glory of Indian culture, traditions, and the land itself. Listening to such an aarti is not only melodious but also reflects our emotions and love for our country. Madam illustrated the significance of Independence Day, recalling the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the country’s freedom, also with honor and deep respect she saluted the hard work of the people in the Army and Air Force. She also highlighted the importance of remembering the struggles of the past while working towards a brighter future for the nation and urged students to mend courage and hard work in their lives for the betterment of nation. There was a message for parents as well that they should never raise their voice in front of their children, give their children good values, and make them good citizens for the country, so that they can shine and succeed and make their future bright. Madam advised to always keep our mind happy, think positively, and respect everyone. Every day, think about making it a new and better day.
Bhavan’s B.P. Vidya Mandir, Koradi celebrated the 78th Independence Day on August 15, 2024, with ardour, great fervor and patriotism for their motherland. Madam Padmini Jog, Executive Committee Member, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra and Member of School Management Committee was the eminent chief guest. Guest of Honour Dr. Smt. Sunanda Sonarikar Madam, Secretary, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra, Special guest, a luminary Sanskrit Scholar Dr. Leena Rastogi, Smt. Shraddha Telang and Parent Representatives Dr. Pradyum Chaturvedi and Dr. Vedika Agrawal blessed this occasion by their auspicious presence. The Tricolor was hoisted and National Anthem was sung followed by various cultural programs which was a vibrant display of talent and patriotism. The students of Bhavan's B.P. Vidya Mandir showcased their artistic abilities through various performances that resonated with the theme of love for the nation. The program began with an instrumental music performance by Reyansh Pawar from Bal Mandir, which captivated the audience and set the tone for the rest of the event. This was followed by a melodious rendition of the Sanskrit song "Janmabhoomi Navami" by students from classes IV and V. The song, a translation of a Bengali poem by Rabindranath Tagore, celebrated the beauty of the Indian land and its cultural heritage.
One of the highlights of the event was a patriotic dance performance titled "Bharat ke Karandhar," presented by the students of Bal Mandir. The dance depicted the struggles and sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters and was met with loud applause from the audience. Another notable performance was the group dance "Shaheedon ki Toli," performed by students from classes VI to IX. This performance paid tribute to the bravery of revolutionaries like Rani Lakshmi Bai and Mangal Pandey, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present. The cultural program also included a traditional "Powada," a Marathi folk song and dance form, which narrated the heroic deeds of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his victory over Afzal Khan, evoking a strong sense of pride in Maharashtra's rich history.
In addition to the cultural performances, the Independence Day celebration also featured the recognition and felicitation of students who excelled in various academic and extracurricular activities. Students who achieved perfect attendance for the academic year 2023-24 were honored, promoting the value of consistency and dedication. Kumari Harshita Siriya of Class VI A was awarded the 'Reader of the Year' title for her outstanding reading achievements, having read 24 books during the year and submitted written reviews for each. Additionally, Master Kush Radheshyam Agarwal of Class III was recognized for securing the second rank in the International Mathematics Olympiad, receiving a cheque of INR 25,000, an International Silver Medal, and a Certificate of Outstanding Performance. The celebration concluded with the distribution of academic excellence awards to students who were the school topper and the subject topper in the All India Secondary School Examination.
Esteemed Chief Guest Smt. Padmini Jog madam and Dr. Sunanda Sonarikar madam presented these prestigious trophies, certificates and cash prizes to recipients in the presence of their proud parents and teachers.
On the juncture of Independence Day the school launched its newsletter “Reflections volume 1” in which various scholastics and co-scholastics achievements, celebrations and activities for the session 2023 – 2024 are reflected. It was launched by the hands of respected Chief Guest Smt. Padmini Jog, Secretary Dr. Sunanda Sonarikar Madam. The distinguished Special guest and a Sanskrit Schloar Dr. Leena Rastogi, Newly elected EPTA members for the session 2024-2025, Vice Chairperson Dr. Misshti Daswani and Joint Secretary Smt. Kanika Jani along with respected Principal Ms. Sarbani Bose madam and with all dignitaries inaugurated the school exhibition “Nagpur Darshanam” on the coming occasion of Sanskrit day which was organized to tell the importance and history of Nagpur through Sanskrit.The chief guest and other dignitaries interacted with students and appreciated them for the efforts they rendered for the exhibition.
The young Bhavanites, Ms. Anushka Bagdi and Mast. Akshat Sengar compeered the program, while Ms. Suzanah Gormanly proposed the vote of thanks. The whole event was guided and supported by the Principal, Ms. Sarbani Bose. Smt. Priyanka Fating was the overall incharge while Shri Prajwal Arghode was the Assistant incharge for the program. The entire atmosphere was charged up with a patriotic feeling. The event was a resounding success, filled with a sense of national pride, cultural heritage, and academic achievement. There was a shared feeling of unity and a renewed commitment to upholding the values of freedom, democracy, and excellence in all endeavors.
